Madjid

Madjid was born in Tehran in 1943, son to the well known Rahnavadkar family. Bothe grandfather and brother were also well appreciated amongst their countrymen. The artist has been painting and sculpting since he was fifteen.

In 1959, he was honoured with the French-Persian RASI prize for his painting and a year later for his sculpture.

His artistic development was further formed in Munich. Zollner and Huber helped form and led his artistic expression towards impressionism. During 1966 in the ARSEN gallery in Tehran he had many extremely successful exhibitions.

Madjid has lived in Munich for over 25 years and counts as one of the renowned artists in the Munich art scene.

His work can already be found in many leading private collections not only in Europe, but also in America and Asia.

How Madjid realy moves us, is through his unconscious impressionistic melody. Everything that he forms is full of his inner stregth and Vitality. People and landscapes achieve their own dimentional existance and the places that the artist leads us through, the landscapes that we cross, the alleys of trees in the distance having their own strong inner light, long shadows and fleeting lines culminating in a unique character of depth.
His paintings are not only a 'self prtrait', but an inner landscape. he paints as he lives.

Gripping, powerful but with the tenderness of the strong. What can be seen is defined and the uncertainty of light and movement is freed by the powerful stroke of his brush. When he paints the fullness of the trees, the deep still waters and the mountains are awakened to new life.

Madjid practices the modern real terminology of dynamic painting from what can be seen and thought , from knowledge and sight. Reality is expanded through possibility, cast by his spell the environment evolvews into the promised land. A return home to landscapes threatened by destruction, brought to life in which even alienated humans are given a new harmony and understaning.

His ability and industriousness have made his name and impression on the international art scene.
